Treasurer's Report
Elliot delivered his report. Copy attached to the Minutes.
Patio
This has gone over budget as the base was top soil and unsuitable and has been replaced with stone to create a hard base. There will also be additional labour costs. The job so far looks very good apart from the mess currently in Nikki's field which needs clearing up. Agreed to get new coping stones for the top of the wall. Agreed to install a ramp at the West door.
Vent Axia
Stewart has sourced 2 quotes to change the speed controllers and trunking £724 plus vat (AC Ventilation) and another of £707 plus vat without trunking.
The fans should also be maintained annually. This will cost £250 per annum. The fans cost £1000 each to buy.
Agreed Richard Grix and Stephen Trobe will have a look at the fans to see if they can stop the flapping and cold air/rain coming in. Noise can be remedied by not using the fans. Thanks expressed to Stewart for his work so far in researching the problem.
Village Show
Martin ran through the list of events which will hopefully proceed.
Northumberland Larder may come. Martin is meeting with them shortly. Whether they attend to some extent dictates the ultimate size of the Show.
Signage, Maps, Plans, Advertising for the day need organising. Richard may have a contact who may be able to help with this. He will enquire. Richard suggested using coloured balloons to direct visitors to the various events. Richard will see if Anna Rainbow might be willing to assist with general organisation/ PR as she has offered to help with events in the past.
Agreed the pet show will be at 2.30pm. The venue for the pet show needs to be decided.
A Tombola was suggested as a fundraising idea.
AGM
This will be held at the next meeting. Richard Potter agreed he will come back onto the Committee.
Vivian Thompson has decided to resign from the Committee after 10 years service.
A deputy secretary is required to support the secretary. The Brownies require a representative
AOB
Northumbrian Highlights theatre group are keen to put on events in the Hall in exchange for 75% of the takings. On 11/10/07 a puppet show is planned, timed to run alongside youth club. Agreed to proceed with this. A workshop can also follow this event for a fee for which a grant may be available. Sue will explore this.
