Minutes of meeting on 13 February 2007 read and agreed as a correct record.

Matters Arising

  Elizabeth reported 20 000 Voices was an excellent event and Linda was praised for being of great assistance. Thanks were conveyed to Linda.

• Addresses are needed for the show contributors. Secretary to write to them to advise of the new date. The Church does wish to participate in the show. The Gardening Club will be growing dahlias and this should be borne in mind for the Schedule
• Bar for Waterworth party was not very profitable as the caterers supplied a lot of wine. Some 250 glasses were left to wash and bottles and rubbish to dispose of. Agreed in future those making the booking must be accountable for any mess that is left
• Stewart has volunteered to contact Vent Axia technical support when he returns from his trip to investigate the problem with the ventilators
• Pinocchio is fully booked. We hope to book some Highlights performances in the autumn however
• Agreed to proceed with the patio this spring. No date has been fixed as yet. Stephen T will enquire re the date.

Treasurer's Report

  Elliot delivered his report. Copy attached to the Minutes.

Elliot and Martin have begun completing the Awards for All application. We can apply for up to £10K. We may consider applying for lighting and staging as well as tables. Storage may be an issue for the stage. Agreed to consider an application for staging next year.

The meeting considered Elliott's Income/Expenditure account. The deficit has in fact been eroded as a grant of £1500 has been received from the Parish Council. It seems we can run on a break even basis. We have a good fund in reserve and need to establish a sinking fund for unexpected expenses and redecoration/repairs in future. Agreed to keep a sinking fund of approx. £25K. Elliot will investigate if there is another account suitable for this fund at a higher rate of interest.

  Fundraising

Kathryn was not present to discuss the proposed summer ball

• Sue suggested an event outside in the summer to celebrate the new patio once it is completed. Agreed to consider this at a future date.

• Bale fire – agreed Elizabeth will book the Morris dancers/band when they ring. The ceilidh afterwards was not successful last year. Agreed not to hold the dance this year. Martin will see if the pub is interested in putting something on e.g. food etc

Presentation to David Adams

David Adams was thanked for his many years' service on the Committee as Treasurer and presented with some gifts to mark the Committee's appreciation for his efforts.
