Minutes of meeting on 11 th December 2007 read and agreed as a correct record.
Matters Arising
Fiona's Scotsman, Eddie is available for Burns Night
Stewart will await better weather to assess the damage to the notice board
Treasurer's Report
Elliot delivered his report. Copy attached to the Minutes.
Nothing has been heard from the Receivers of Rooney Construction. Agreed nothing is to be gained from chasing them. Some equipment belonging to Rooney is still in storage.
Caretaker
Interviews have been held and Katherine Tate, a shepherdess from Belsay has been offered the job. She has verbally accepted and is keen to start as soon as possible.
Steve Bilclough will look into a problem with the water heater in the cottage.
Burns Supper 25 th January 2008
99 tickets have gone. There is a waiting list. Billy and Martin will go on the door.
All to sign up for turnips, potatoes and trifles to feed 8 to 10 people.
Lorna Ward will be asked if she will say grace
Richard Potter will toast the ladies
Steve Bilclough will present the loyal toast
Dev Capps will reply on behalf of the guests
Cinzia or Fiona will reply on behalf of the ladies
Billy will toast the guests
Set up on 24 th January at 7.30 – all to assist.
Final numbers on Wednesday 23 rd January.
Richard Grix will do the bar and Elliot will get the drink. All to take dishes home to wash and return the following day.
Committee to attend early on the night.
Digby, Stuart, Harry and Charlie P to assist as waiters.
Prizes needed for the raffle. Nicky, Charlotte , Steve B and Billy will supply these.
Cinzia and Fiona's Play
Casting will be tomorrow. There may be 3 performances on 28 th /29 th March. Rehearsals will commence shortly.
Hall door near the storage shed
This has got damaged in the wind. An estimate for the repair has been received for £41. Agreed to proceed.
Village Show 20 th September 2008
Steering Committee required. Martin and Sheila will lead on this and co-opt others on to help.
AOB
Some paintwork needs doing in the hall to the doors and walls. Billy will obtain a price and try to get the work done.
The hall and cottage carpets are stained. Agreed to get a price and get them cleaned in the summer.
There will be a golf day for the Church at Dunstanburgh on 2 nd April 2008 – advance warning.
Alison to thank Romy Cookson, Needless Hall Farm, Hartburn for the Christmas tree
