Minutes

Minutes of the meeting of the 14th December 2010 were read and agreed as a correct record.

Matters Arising

 

Treasurer’s Report

Barry delivered his report: this was filed accordingly.

Agreed a charge should be levied where furniture is borrowed as opposed to asking for a donation.  The process for such hire needs to be formalised.  Agreed £2.00 per table, 50p per chair.

Four weddings are now booked with a few other possibles.  The website has proved useful in securing the bookings

Brownies

Sadly they are moving to Belsay as travelling is easier for the Brownie Leader. 

Burns Night

To be held on 22 /1/2011
60 tickets sold – need at least 75 to be viable. £13.00 per head
A Scotsman is needed.  Elizabeth may know someone suitable.

Waitresses are organised
Bar             Richard Grix (to stock bar aswell) and whiskey as a prize
Whiskey     Sheila will organise
Pat Grix to confirm band and fee
Volunteers needed for potatoes and turnips.  Sheila has some victims.
Set up Hall Friday 21st  January at 19.30
Washing up boxes of dishes to be supplied by Richard
Raffle with 3 prizes needed.  Louise will supply one prize.
Licence needed.  Barry will be asked to organise.

Increasing use of VH

Lights are still needed.  They may make the Hall more attractive to hirers.  Discussion ensued re what is required.  Something basic and robust.  Perhaps Emma’s partner Matthew could advise.  Emma to ask Matthew to price  some spotlights.
