Matters Arising
- The electrical works are now complete
- Works to the Hall floor are now complete.
- China and cutlery have been purchased by the Lunch Club. The Club has paid some £200 for additional kitchen items and the kitchen is now fully equipped.
- The bar door is lacking a rubber seal. Stewart is working on the necessary repair.
- The Treasure Hunt is fixed for Thursday 10 August. Monies raised will be double matched by Northern Rock. All to encourage participants!
Treasurer's Report
David delivered his report.
The meeting debated the wisdom of charging a small fee for advertisements on the notice board. Linda feels advertisers expect to pay a small fee. Agreed to charge £2 in future per advertisement.
The electricity charge per month has increased from £42 to approx. £100 pcm. Confusion reigns over arrears for electricity to the cottage. Resolving this has proved difficult but it is likely the Committee will owe £200 and Linda £200 in arrears.
Clarification is being sought from NFU as regards their requirements for locks to the Hall. It is likely they will be similar conditions to other insurers.
All of the £500 loans will be repaid by the end of the month.
There has been no word as regards the roof litigation. Agreed to let this lie.
Wedding
This event went well. The patio was decorated with flowers by members of the Committee and Linda helped throughout.

AOB
- Gladys advised that 2 bottles of wine belonging to the lunch club have gone missing from the cupboard. Agreed the cupboard must be locked at all times in future.
- Some of the socket covers have gone missing. Julie will source spares.
- Storage of the chairs which are currently stacked in the office is an issue. Agreed to consider purchasing a shed to be sited adjacent to the west door if funds allow after final payment of the refurbishment debts.
- A floor polisher is needed to maintain the finish on the new floor. Agreed this needs further investigation. Sheila will look into it.
- Linda was not notified of a cancelled booking by the lunch club which resulted in her waiting around unnecessarily for several hours. Agreed Linda will prepare a letter to advise regular users of the Hall of the need to advise Linda of alterations to bookings or a charge will be made.
- Agreed Sheila will be the third signature on the cheques, together with Billy and Elliot.
